New test game servers.
Hi all,

Thanks to UK2 letting us test out some snazzy new kit (namely their VPS.NET virtual server system) we have a couple of test servers up and running we'd like you to test out.

1: 83.170.88.195:27015 (V011 CS1.6 DE_Dust2 24 man)
2: 83.170.88.195:27025 (V012 TF Source 24 man default rotation)
3: 83.170.88.59:27015 (V021 Left4dead: Default setup server)
4: 83.170.88.59:27025 (V022 CS:Source Dust/D2/Inferno 16 player)

I have to say first impressions of the VPS.NET setup are quite impressive. What we need to do now is judge how much can be run "per node" to ascertain what we can offer.

We'll also hopefully shortly be moving the forum onto this new platform in the near future (hopefully within a week). When this happens, the forum will be put into "maintenance" mode until the DNS updates. This can take upto a day. So don't worry too much about it, the forum WILL come back.

So, please check out the above game servers and see what you think.

Not sure. Like I say it MAY be the new platform we use for everything. At the very least the forum will be moving onto it soon.

Was on the CS:S server yesterday evening, not bad. But to really test it need more people, as it was just me and daz_rich with a couple of bots.

Well, I made a ticket about the servers down vs servers up. They said that they didn't have a great deal of spare time to look at those but suggested we look at VPS.NET.

It seems a bit odd. Behaviour wise and as blaser says we do need more people checking out the servers that are up.
