If this goes through I won't be surprised if they call for an EU ban. Considering we're in an economic downturn and this would lead to small businesses having to close down. Seems to be all about money though, Germany are probably the largest gun manufacturer in Europe, yet they target imitation weapons instead of real ones.

I really couldn't see that happening..it would not be based off evidence but personal opinion. Germany's solution seems to ban anything to make it seem like they're doing something when they don't have the solution or when they don't like the reason. It's like they struggle to accept. They can't blame videogames this time..thus it's paint ball. Maybe it's a nutter trying to pass a bill (I hope it is) and it's attracted some headlines.

Makes perfect sense - ban paintball, and no-one will want to go out shooting things/people/etc with their real weapons!
In fact, it makes about as much sense as one of these.
