Internet explorer allows you to upload files via FTP
ftp://<site> name
if you are using IE 7 or 8 this will initally give you an error, ignore this and then click on "VIEW" and "open FTP site in windows explorer"
If you need to supply a username and password for the FTP site then you will get box with some blurb about an error click OK
the "File" --> Login as
you should be then able to drag and drop between your hard disk and the FTP site and vice versa.
