Good God

Is that a joke? Now multi-boxing with five accounts I can understand...but this is a little crazy ^_^

I think this guy is to geeks what geeks are to normal people. In fact I think he may be one step beyond that.

What a loser, sorry but thats just sad, He may have his grand plans to raid places on his own, but surely he must realise its not just numbers turning up that makes a raid? every member has a specific role to play.....

I think the raids are city ones from what he was saying :P not tanking, healing and dps'ing ^_^

To be fair, with a lot of geekiness and know how (not to mention patience) you could take on all roles. Hell taking on the tougher encounters which usually require 25 focused people with merely one person controlling all roles would be a challenge in itself I am sure. But sure possible.

As to whether I could even come close to justifying that kind of expense in pursuit of a game.. Not a chance. It's a bit far to go really. I don't even see how I could justify a second account (which a lot of people seem to have).

But meh, whatever makes you happy I suppose.

Ditto, WoW :P

Timmeh 13-10-08 12:58

Heh, whatever he enjoys I guess. If money and time to level was literally not a consideration, I'd so think about doing something like this just to see 36 searing totems/chain lightnings/chain heals going off at once. I suppose he just has a lot of spare cash and a lot of free time. Like Pete, I couldn't justify the expense or time spent, but evidently he can.

I'd love to have a 10 or 25 man team to attempt to solo certain encounters - if I'm honest, I'd probably enjoy the macroing and figuring out how to make certain characters respond in certain ways at certain times more than I would actually doing it. :p

For the WoW players, think of the RoS fight as a good example... how much fun would that be to macro?! Maybe it's just the programming geek in me talking.

It feels like I've played it since I've seen about a billion screeshots. Doesn't that count?

Well, likewise if reading all the posts on here about travian doesn't count, what does? :P

<Matrix>No-one can be told what World of Warcraft is, you have to see it for yourself</Matrix>

In this guy's case, he wants to see if 36 times at once for himself.

mrs.fruitcake 13-10-08 15:17

travian rules (allthough I'm very tired of it)

I'm in 245th place out of 14000 :D I'm good at it!!!

Agent-r00tk1t 13-10-08 15:19

Not to be mean. But does the 14000 include only active players, or does it include the people that signed up, played for 10 secs and never logged in again? ;)

Grinch 13-10-08 15:19

it sucks, play wow!

Use hax.

Click quote on one post. Select the text given in the reply box. Hit back, then quote on the next post. Add your reply to that post, then paste in the second quoted text and reply to that. If you need more than 2, use notepad to paste in each one.

Peasy really. Hey wait forum mechanics 101 hijacked a wow thread!

Takes forever and I get lost in what I was doing, my laptop crashes, and then I get annoyed, start swearing and possibly phone my husband to shout at him as if it was his fault. Well, it's just not worth it :)

:o thanks Rooty!! (I'm assuming you did the multi-quoting for me)

That's good :) I'm a teuton - easier to build troops as a teuton. The only downside is that you have to be very active, at least in the beginning. My co got made redundant last week and is a bit low so I have to do it on my own now. Takes a lot of time.

So are you in a good ally?

Skelly 13-10-08 22:08

Im very active but just cant be arsed with raiding so romans in the easy option for me :)

My alliance in number 19 atm but only a few 100 pop off 18. Trouble is we pissed off one of the top 3 alliances so we been fending off thier attacks for the last few days. Good fun :D Wiped 14000 troops and 2000 catas in one go :D Made us all happy

mrs.fruitcake 13-10-08 22:12

Yeah it's great to wipe out ppl's off. A few weeks ago we pissed of a top 20 player - we wiped out his off and then took out every single one of his villages *muhahahahaha* Saying that - we lost A LOT of troops. My alliance is no 2 now.

mrs.fruitcake 13-10-08 22:17

:o Skelly - you should play on Swedish speed 3 next round!!
